Alvarez needs to have a game plan

Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, the World Boxing Council or the WBC’s 154 lbs world champion is getting ready to take on the American Austin Trout, the World Boxing Association or the WBA belt holder in April and former Junior Middleweight world champion Raul ‘Diamante’ Marquez, Alvarez will be in need of an extremely smart strategy in the match to get the better of the American. Alvarez currently boasts of a record of 41-0-1 with 30 of those wins coming via knockout.

Trout, on the other hand, is still undefeated with a 26-0 record, with 14 of those wins coming via knockout and he is flying high on confidence having defeated Mexican boxer Miguel Cotto in a recent match. Marquez, who is now a well renowned broadcaster stated that Saul Alvarez is easily one of the best and most recognizable boxers in the world at this moment and he is also the best fighter in his division as well. But he went on to state that the whole world has witnessed what he did with someone like Miguel Cotto.

Marquez stated that Trout used the strong technical skills that he boasts of, his elusive style of boxing to great effect during the match and came out on top – before going on to add that it was arguably his greatest moment in boxing. And he believes in spite of everything, Alvarez will not have everything so easy against the American.

Marquez went on elaborate that Saul Alvarez is an extremely smart fighter but he will have to take the game to the American and hit body shots as much as he can to slow him down. He mentioned that the fight will be a game of strategies and whoever gets their game plan right will be the one celebrating a win at the end of the night.
